What a week! BROD with a series of presentations on the annual event of the GATE Institute in Sofia.
The first day was the amazing talk of Prof. Preslav Nakov, MBZUAI (Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence), as a keynote speaker at the opening of the GATE Institute annual conference on the recent advantages of countering disinformation!

The same day BROD organised a panel HARNESSING AI TO COMBAT MISINFORMATION: INNOVATIONS, CHALLENGES, AND FUTURE DIRECTIONS with Prof. Preslav Nakov, Aqsa Farooq, University of Amsterdam, Venelin Kovachev, University of Birmingham, Yolina Petrova, Identrics, with moderation of Keith Peter Kiely.
The second-day BROD organised a workshop: INTELLIGENT GOVERNMENT & DISINFORMATION – TOOLS, RESOURCES, AND TRENDS IN ELECTIONS with 3 parts: Language-Specific Resources and Tools for Detecting Disinformation, Disinformation Trends and Elections in 2024, Monitoring the Code of Practice on Disinformation. We had as speakers our partners and friends Paula Gori, Prof. Petya Osenova, Prof. Kiril Simov, Todor Galev, Devora Kotseva, Todor Kiriakov, Dimitra Voeva, Bastiaan Bruinsma, and the representatives of BROD Keith Peter Kiely, Irina Temnikova, Silvia Gargova, Boyan Dafov.
The third day was dedicated to the master class - Combating Disinformation in the Digital Era. Iglika Ivanova from the Coalition of Media Literacy and Ruslana Margova from BROD shared best practices and insights from leading European initiatives.
