BROD presented at Cyber Cecurity Talks

BROD's scientific coordinator, Dr. Keith Peter Kiely, presented the observatory at Cyber Security Talks, Bulgaria, hosted by CyberXperts.

He discussed the work that GATE and BROD have been doing around misinformation and offered an oversight of the work within the team, specifically the work being done to develop Bulgarian language tools. Dr. Kiely spoke about the most recent trends in the area and gave some personally-experienced examples.

New initiative against disinformation on the Balkans

A new initiative - a creation of a Center for Information, Democracy, and Citizenship (CIDC) - is convening a Balkan-focused cohort of civil society leaders, media professionals, fact-checkers, academic researchers, and practitioners. [+]

Climate factcheck database is working now

As part of the EFCSN’s FactCRICIS / EuroClimateCheck project, a climate fact-checking database has been launched which brings together climate-related fact-checks from 25 fact-checking organisations across Europe. The database draws on articles from fact-checking organisations from 15 European countries, representing a groundbreaking initiative to battle climate disinformation crossing borders in Europe. [+]
