In Ruse: Free Media and Digital Literacy Training for Adults 55+

Tsvetelina Stefanova, a contributor of BRODhub, was one of the organisers of the Free Media and Digital Literacy Training for Adults 55+ in Ruse University Angel Kanchev University of Ruse. The target group is users above 55 years old. The course is part of the Information Matters project. For more information here is the link to its website: https://informationmatters.eu/

The trainings for elderly people under this project take place between June and September 2024 in three countries – Bulgaria, Romania and Austria, and they are provided by certified adult educators who were trained to deliver this course. The Bulgarian partner in the project is Global Libraries. For Bulgaria, Tsvetelina Stefanova was one of the 20 educators selected to provide the Information Matters course from all of the people who completed the training for educators.

The training course content is structured in 10 learning modules aiming to support educators in improving the media literacy, critical thinking, and care about sensitive information of people aged 55+, and in helping them gain a spectrum of digital capabilities.
