New initiative against disinformation on the Balkans

A new initiative - a creation of a Center for Information, Democracy, and Citizenship (CIDC) - is convening a Balkan-focused cohort of civil society leaders, media professionals, fact-checkers, academic researchers, and practitioners.

The discussions will contribute directly to narrative classification in the CIDC-Sensika Disinformation Observatory. From these discussions, the CIDC will also produce publicly available reports on key themes, priorities and gaps that must be addressed to counter disinformation and foster the regional information integrity. The countries of interest are Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, and Slovenia.
