First annual conference of the Bulgarian Coalition Against Disinformation Sofia with participation of BROD

One Year Wartime Disinformation – is Collective Resistance Possible? - that question was asked at the First annual conference of the Bulgarian Coalition Against Disinformation, held in Sofia on 27 April 2023.

As part of the overall efforts against disinformation in Bulgaria, the work of Bulgarian-Romanian Observatory of Digital Media BROD - part of EDMO network - was presented by Ruslana Margova.

Assoc. prof. Ralitza Kovatcheva from Association of European Journalists and Nikola Tulechki from BROD partners' technology company Ontotext described the challenges in tackling disinformation.

A Bulgarian Coalition against Disinformation with some 60 members has set itself the task to work against fake news and false content in digital media in 2022. The initiative has brought together the European Commission, representatives of several national institutions, including ministries and agencies, and Bulgarian media. In 2023 BROD becomes part of that efforts.
